COMPANY HISTORY

HICKEY METAL FABRICATION is a family owned business started by Leo Hickey, Bob's fathers in 1942.  The Company started out as a furnace and heating business.  In 1954, Bob and Nancy took over the business when Bob's father passed away.  As the years progressed, the business grew into heating and roofing.  Bob had many fine years of furnace installation, heating and expert roofing, both residential and commercial.  Nancy handled customer service, accounting and bookkeeping.

Bob's son, Leo Hickey became a member of the team in the mid seventies.  And as the years had evolved and the times had changed, so had the roofing business.  The Company looked to a more stable environment and the metal fabricating business showed much demand and steady work.

In the early eighties, Bob's son-in-law, Nick Peters joined the team and the roofing and metal fabricating business continued to flourish.  In the late eighties, Lois returned to the bookkeeping and accounting duties.

In 1990, the Company incorporated.  The Company officers are Bob Hickey, President; Leo Hickey, Vice President; Nick Peters, Vice President; Nancy Hickey, Treasurer; and Lois Peters, Corp. Secretary.

Throughout the nineties and the new millennium, the Company continued to experience steady growth in the fabricating world.  We added a second plant in the Salem Industrial Park in 1995 with two additions to it in 1997 and 2000 along with many machinery upgrades to the existing Plant #1.  The Company has grown from a couple of employees in the early years to over 80 at the present time.  We take pride in the quality products and services that are provided to our customers on a daily basis with state of the art equipment.  We are also pleased to supply a stable work environment for our employees.  As sales continue to increase, the Company continues to expand and looks forward to the future.
