Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will support the efficiency and improvement of processes within the facility. They will be responsible for continuously improving all operations used to turn raw material into a finished product.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Develop process implementations for the improvement of, but not limited to, part quality, time management, operator safety, and/or cost.

Provide Ideas and solutions to limit overall operation or process completion time.

Work with drawings, bill of materials and ERP software

Organize raw material inventory processes

Learn to program bending and nesting software
-
Collect data and time studies for part cycle times and work with programmers to improve part cycle times

Assist with new production control procedures and process flows
-
Review and analyze data to create process improving strategies.

Identify and recommend facility layout changes to machines, storage units, etc. to create more efficient flowing processes.

Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems preferred)

Ability to understand the basic flow of a manufacturing process

Desire to learn shop floor operations and equipment

Desire to continuously improve
-
Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner and with minimal direction.

Experience with fabrication machinery is preferred but no required

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)

Previous use of 3D Modelling (CAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
